How my pantry has changed.
Just so you know: This post contains affiliate links, which means if you click on them I make a small commission. That being said all of these are products I have personally used and would genuinely recommend.
In a blog that I wrote about 3 years ago, I talked about organizing my pantry. At that time I would decant all my products, I made fancy labels for each item. I still absolutely love that pantry!
Since then, we are in our smaller apartment, and while the kitchen is quite large, the pantry is not so big. Not only is it small, but the shape is very interesting. It is very thin and quite deep.
I found that using that space to its best means that I don’t have a container for every item, meaning that I don’t decant most products. That being said, I have found that several food products come in packaging that I dislike, mostly flour (its paper, literally just paper!).
As I have said so many times before my husband is a big reason why I started my organizing journey. His visual impairment means we have to keep things in the same place all the time. He also finds it so much easier to use cereal containers instead of the boxes cereals come in.
I ended up using the same OXO containers we used in our previous kitchen, but because that was a while ago they have since been discontinued. They have a new version but I haven’t used them so I can’t recommend.
When we first moved here, I struggled with the pantry but I finally found that changing my organizing mindset made it easier to use the space I had.
Is there a space you had to rethink in order to keep it organized? Let me know in the comments below.
Until next time
